Arcadia Cognerati is a specialized team of experts in Human Behavior Pattern Recognition & Analysis. They offer programs designed to mitigate risks in high-stress environments, providing critical training and education to help organizations make proactive, legally, morally, and ethically sound decisions. Their advanced cognitive approaches and critical thinking methods ensure MILO trainees can anticipate and react to volatile situations effectively, empowering them with the “gift of time and distance.”

 

 

Based in Chelsea, Michigan, Chalogianis Consulting LLC  provides world-class security consulting and serves as a subject matter expert for MILO content development. Their team specializes in active threat tactics, emergency planning, and inclusive training content that addresses the needs of marginalized communities. Their deep understanding of community-focused law enforcement helps us build stronger connections between officers and the populations they serve, resulting in safer and more cohesive communities.

 

 

 

The Electrophysiological Neuroscience Laboratory of Kent (ENLoK) conducts groundbreaking research in cognitive and social neuroscience, particularly focusing on neurobehavioral markers associated with performance under stress. Their work with electroencephalography (EEG) informs our training content, enabling us to better understand how the brain reacts during high-stress scenarios. This research is crucial to creating more effective, data-driven training programs that improve decision-making and performance in law enforcement and military operations.

 

 

A nonprofit organization, Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of disabled or fallen military members. We proudly collaborate with them to honor the service and sacrifice of these individuals by supporting their families’ educational journeys. Folds of Honor has awarded nearly $200 million in scholarships, making a tremendous impact across all 50 states.

Dedicated to mental health and resilience, Maestro Games, SPC uses the healing power of music to combat the desensitization and mental health challenges faced by first responders. Their immersive platform, The Last Maestro™, uses music and virtual reality to create brief, yet powerful experiences designed to stimulate emotional resilience and empathy. These tools help our trainees recover from the psychological effects of high-stress work environments, keeping them sharp and focused while fostering emotional well-being.

 

The Simulated Hazardous Operational Tasks (SHOT) Laboratory at WSU conducts pivotal research into high-stress job performance. Their work on counter-bias training for law enforcement has been instrumental in developing MILO’s “CBTSim™” immersive training program. Through their ongoing research, SHOT Lab continues to influence the development of evidence-based, bias mitigation strategies that enhance decision-making and effectiveness in the field.
